Wed 12/7 & Thurs 12/8 – The Underground Experience Presents Grab Bag Special # 3 featuring Serpent Underground & Malachi Cohen!

Making their mark on the local and national scene, Serpent Underground has been “slithering” in and out of the industry forefront since 2003. Reformed in 2008 with lead guitarist Cody Walker, the band has added a sinister and melodic edge to their already aggressive “in-your-face” sound.

Set for a late 2011 release, Their new album “The Lie” will feature everything Serpent Underground fans have come to expect: dynamic vocals, powerful drum solos, heart-pounding bass and now the addition of Cody’s edgy and melodic guitar work.

Throughout the years, Serpent Underground has played across America including the Gothstock Festival in Hartford CT and the San Diego State Fair. They have played with numerous national acts such as: Five Finger Death Punch, Dragonforce, Asesino, The Dreaming, and Powerman 5000. They were first runner up in the 2006 Bodog Battle of the Bands and the Nitrorocks Ultimate Battle. “…These guys are way up my minor-key alley, with shades of everything from Stone Sour and Slipknot to Type O Negative and Tool just to name a few. Blending beautiful melodies with intense riffs and vocals, Serpent Underground is just what rock ‘n roll needs right now – a perfect bridge between what is great about old metal and nu. I LOVE this band!”

Kelly Rush: Metalholic Magazine

“…They will possess you with their energy, killer rhythms and dark explosive emotion filled lyrics. They will hit you hard and make you feel tense and ready to explode! These guys definitely need more exposure, and I’m sure they can survive where the big boys play…”Emmanuel: All Access Rock Magazine

“…These guys are for real! I sincerely hope that these guys get the chance of being signed by a major label. So all contractors out there wake up and take a good listen to Serpent Underground!” – Markabre: Vampire Magazine

“… This is the music that really ignites the soul; something you can wrap your-self around. It invites you in, and you feel like you have no choice but to listen, and when you do, you ask yourself why you haven’t done it sooner. Music like this really shows what Metal, and Rock in general, should be like. “
