Born on March 12, 1989…and that’s when it started! A lot of people probably wonder how or why I have the name “DialySuS.” Well at first, I had the name DMoney. This was a nickname given to me by many of my peers. It was a chain reaction, one person, then another, and then everyone! However, due to life experiences, and advice from my older brother, I decided that DialySuS would be a better fit.

At the age of 10

I was diagnosed with a kidney disease. This disease became worse over the years, and in February of 2006 I had to go on dialysis. This was an everyday thing for awhile. I was hooked up to a machine 10 hours a day, 7 days a week. Dialysis is “the process by which uric acid and urea are removed from circulating blood by means of a dialyzer. ” In a sense, you could say that dialysis “flushes” out your system. I like to think of the hip hop world as a “system.”

A lot of artists nowadays use inappropriate language in their songs.

I, “DialySuS, pride myself in saying that i don’t curse in my songs. In a way, I say that I am “flushing” out the hip hop system, therefore, giving myself the name DialySuS. With much prayer, family, and friend support, I was lucky enough to have a perfect match for a new kidney: My father. On July 12, 2006 I had a kidney transplant at St. Barnabas Hospital. After 6 other surgeries I was finally released from the hospital on August 26, 2006.

After I was released, I wrote a song about my life and received a lot of compliments.

This encouraged me to keep going and I feel I got better and better with time. Now, I am where i’m at today. “I been through the pain, i been through the tears, held it down for myself, and held it down for my peers, I been through the struggle, i been through it all they tried to knock me down, but I’m still standin tall” SO NOW….SHOW ME SOME LOVE!

History notes that a fallen apple was the inspiration for Sir Isaac Newton’s Theories of universal gravitation. But legendary Fusion Master-Musician-Composer Antonio (Tony) Newton, founder of Los Angeles-based world-rock-fusion orchestra Vanguard, — never had much time for apple orchards. Recording studios and concert stages were his classrooms.

John Lee Hooker, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Gary Moore and Allan Holdsworth were his classmates. Drawing from this wealth of experience and professional relationships, Newton has emerged as a multifaceted composer/producer and musician (vocals, electric bass, and keyboards) and applied his pioneering concepts in harmony theory and composition to successfully integrate a variety of musical genres. Strap yourself in for some heart stopping, spirit moving, mind-bending musical expression.

Newton was discovered by Motown Executive Hank Cosby while playing in Detroit Blues clubs at the age of 18. He was chosen to replace James Jamerson as touring bassist with Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. Within two years Newton became Music Director. He also toured with all of the Motown Artists such as: Diana Ross and the Supremes, Martha and the Vandellas, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Four Tops, Temptations, Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5, Spinners, and others.

While at Motown from time to time, playing with the “Funk Brothers” he left his trademark of solid, hard driving, and deftly clever grooves on such timeless hits as “Where Did Our Love Go”, “Baby Love”, “Stop In The Name Of Love”, “Nowhere to Run” on the east coast, and on the west coast, “ABC’, “Never Can Say Goodbye”, “Don’t Leave Me This Way“, and many others. Also a little unknown fact is that Newton and James Jamerson played together as 2 basses on the above Motown Hits. Newton was also the bassist for the famed 1965 European Motown Review tour, mentioned in the film, “Standing in the Shadows of Motown“.

[BRËN] is a singer-songwriter, educated at MI in Hollywood, California and has performed at famous venues such as The Whisky A Go Go, House of Blues, The Key Club & The Fine Line Cafe in Minneapolis.

Currently [BRËN] is Represented by IMT Agency in Century City and Managed by Margaret Guiraud. In a year’s time, under the Representation of IMT Agency, two music videos have been produced & among hundreds of band entrants was chosen for a paid performance in Minneapolis at the famous Fine Line Music Cafe, been featured in various publications & interviews including a live radio interview with KCLA and various internet radio stations, finished and released his first debut album, “Anywhere But Here”, and successfully performed his first industry showcase.

Four of [BRËN]’s songs (“Only Human,” “Worth The Weight,” “BetterMan,” & “Epic”) have scored the Platinum Auddy Award–highest scores for possible hits–on Hit Song Science. His single “Worth The Weight” was the song of the week on “MSI: Music Scene Investigation” for the week of March 13-19, 2011.

[BRËN]’s debut album, “Anywhere But Here…” was mastered at The Mastering Lab, where Pink Floyd, Faith Hill, Ray Charles, Tim McGraw,and other industry greats go to get their albums mastered. [BRËN] is currently working on his sophomore album, “Surrender Is Not An Option” and performing live.
